Leo’s Grey Wolf Hike – West Head Lookout
Peter Hawken is inviting participants to the following activity organised by Ermington Cubs.

Activity: Leo’s Grey Wolf Hike
Location: West Head Lookout, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

Participants will meet at the Scout Hall at 7:30 AM before travelling by carpool to the starting point at West Head Lookout. Parents are required to assist with transport to and from the activity where possible.
The hike will take place within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and will include bushwalking through scenic coastal and bushland tracks. Participants should be prepared for a full day of walking and outdoor activity.
We expect to return to the Scout Hall at approximately 3:00 PM, depending on traffic and hiking conditions. Updates will be provided via WhatsApp or SMS if required.(Pickup for car pool is 2pm)
Cost
No activity fee applies.
Participants should bring their own food, water, and day hiking equipment.
Brief Activity Overview
This activity is a day hike as part of Leo’s Grey Wolf Award journey. The walk will provide Cubs with an opportunity to develop bushwalking skills, teamwork, navigation awareness, resilience, and outdoor confidence while exploring the natural environment of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Transport
Transport to and from the activity will be by leaders and parent helpers via carpool from the Scout Hall.
Day Pack / Kit List
Participants are required to bring:
- Full Scout uniformor activity shirt
- Comfortable hiking clothes suitable for the weather
- Enclosed walking shoes or hiking boots
- Backpack/day pack
- Minimum 1.5 litres of water
- Morning tea and lunch
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Rain jacket
- Personal medications (including asthma puffer/EpiPen if required)
- Small personal first aid items if desired
