Special Interest Areas (SIAs) are one component of the Achievement Pathways, encouraging Scouts of any age to try new things and pursue their interests by setting goals and designing a project that challenges them. 

For Cubs Special Interest Areas are a 4 hour project. 

Special Interest Areas need to be entered in Terrain for Unit Council to approve commencement. On completion you need to review the project in Terrain and add photos. Once Unit Council has approved your completion you will be awarded the relevant SIA badge.
