Scouts NSW - 1st Ermington Scout Group

Scouts

We are the Scouts!

The 1st Ermington Scouts supports young people to grow in confidence, character, and life skills through fun, challenging, and rewarding activities. Using a “learn by doing” approach, Scouts encourages young people to explore the outdoors, work as part of a team, and take on leadership roles in a safe and supportive environment. Activities commonly include camping and bushwalking, navigation, first aid, adventure-based challenges, and community service projects.

Through participation in Scouts, young people develop resilience, independence, and a strong sense of responsibility to themselves and others. The program builds practical skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, while also promoting core values like respect, service, and integrity. Scouts creates opportunities for lasting friendships and meaningful achievements, helping young people become capable, confident, and community-minded citizens.

Meetings take place during school terms on Thursdays from 7.00 - 9.00 pm. For more information, please contact our Scout Leader.
