We’re heading into the city for a night of lights, exploration, and the drone show over Darling Harbour.

Date: Wednesday 10 June 2026
Meet: 5:00pm – West Ryde Station
Train Departs: 5:14pm sharp
Return: ~10:00pm–10:20pm West Ryde Station (depending on train)

Plan for the Night

• 5:14pm – Train from West Ryde
• ~6:00pm – Arrive city (Darling Harbour / Tumbalong Park)
• 6:00–6:45pm – Dinner at Tumbalong Park / Darling Square
• 6:45–7:20pm – Explore Darling Harbour light installations
• 7:30pm – Watch Vivid drone show (Cockle Bay)
• 7:45–8:45pm – Walk to Barangaroo and explore lights
• 8:45–9:30pm – Continue walk through to Circular Quay
• 9:26pm or 9:41pm – Train home
• ~10:04pm or ~10:19pm – Arrive West Ryde

What to Bring

• Opal card
• Money for dinner/snacks
• Water bottle
• Warm / wet weather clothing
• Enclosed shoes
• Small backpack only
• Mobile phone (charged)

Location Sharing (Optional but Recommended)

We will have a Vennies Life360 circle set up for the event (join code shared in the group chat).

If you are comfortable, please join and enable location sharing for the night. This just helps leaders keep track of groups in a busy city environment and makes it easier to manage movements between locations.

This is a walking-heavy night through crowded city areas, so staying together in groups is essential.

This year’s Vivid is packed with massive light installations, laser projections, interactive displays and an epic drone show over Darling Harbour.

This activity will proceed even in wet weather, so you should come prepared for the conditions.
