We are excited to announce our Canoe Overnight Hike from Church Point Reserve Boat Ramp to The Basin Campground on Saturday 15 – Sunday 16 August 2026!

Event Details:

• Meeting Time: 9:00AM, Saturday 15 August 2026
• Return: ~2:30PM, Sunday 16 August 2026
• Route: Church Point → The Basin Campground → Return
• Distance: ~10–11km each way (paddling on tidal Pittwater)
• Campsite: The Basin Campground, Ku‑ring‑gai Chase National Park

What to Bring:

• PFD (provided if needed)
• Paddling clothes & footwear that can get wet
• Warm layers & rain gear
• Sleeping gear for overnight stay
• Food and water for both days
• Sun protection, hat, sunscreen
• All packed in waterproof Bags/Barrels (available form scouts)

Additional Information:

• We will paddle with the tide for easier conditions: Day1 with outgoing tide, Day2 with incoming tide.
• Morning paddling is typically calmer; we plan to depart early each day to make the most of favourable conditions.
• A safety briefing will be given at the meeting point before departure.
• Camping permits are arranged, and paddling will be supervised by qualified leaders.
